I (Paul Rock), will be attending the 2016 Augmented World Expo. For those not familiar with the Augmented World Expo, it is a global conference for Virtual Reality, Wearable Tech, and of course, Augmented Reality.
At this conference I am hoping to understand what technologies are being built with intent to change the world. Whether changing the world is a core component to the company's mission, or is a bi-product of the impact of the company's product.
What I am most looking forward to is seeing Anouk Wipprecht present. She is a fashion designer that molds technology and fashion in ways we didn't even think was possible. I think her Drinkbot attire could be possibly mainstream in nightclubs and bars across the globe. Her Agent Unicorn product for children, a fashion accessory that allows people to record movies through brain sensor activity, could possibly make our world lazy or more conscious of what people's intentions are. If the world is aware that it doesn't need to appear visually obvious that someone is recording us.
